No. That’s one of the reasons we select our products so carefully: Matter, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Thread and Wi-Fi compatibility, plus Home Assistant and Jeedom. You keep the freedom to switch your main app (Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, or local control), add products from different brands, and grow your setup over time.
For the Zigbee and Thread protocols, yes: a hub bridges your devices and your smartphone. For Wi-Fi, no hub is needed. If in doubt, contact us with the details of your project, we’ll advise you free of charge.
